Christmas at Silverstone will return from 11 to 31 December 2026, transforming the Northamptonshire circuit with a programme of festive experiences built around motorsport, family entertainment, food and drink.

The event will again centre on Lap of Lights, a drive-through experience that takes visitors around the Silverstone Formula 1 circuit after dark. Silverstone says the 2026 route will feature a two-mile light trail, more than 7,000 lights, 10 installations and 35 laser shows.

The wider programme will include Ice Trak, Santa’s Garage, curling, Silverstone Museum, Kart Silverstone, racing simulators, displays of Formula 1 cars, supercars and MotoGP bikes, as well as festive food and drink.

Lap of Lights Returns to the Grand Prix Circuit

Lap of Lights allows visitors to drive their own car around the circuit after dark, passing illuminated sections of the track and grandstands. Silverstone describes it as the UK’s only Christmas light trail on a Formula 1 circuit.

The attraction will run throughout the event, with sessions scheduled from late afternoon into the evening. Tickets are sold per vehicle rather than per person.

Silverstone says more than 120,000 people visited the wider Christmas event in 2025. The circuit has continued to broaden its hospitality and experience offer beyond race weekends, including trackside accommodation and hospitality concepts during the British Grand Prix.

Ice Trak, Santa’s Garage and Curling

Ice Trak will turn part of the Formula 1 garage complex into a skating rink overlooking the start-finish area, while Santa’s Garage will use the circuit’s pit-lane setting for an interactive family experience involving children as “Elf Engineers”.

Curling is new for 2026 and will also take place within the F1 garages. The event programme includes Silverstone Museum, where visitors can explore the circuit’s motorsport history, and Kart Silverstone, which will remain open during the festive period.

Visitors will also be able to use racing simulators and view a selection of racing cars and motorcycles up close. Food and drink will form part of the wider event offer across the circuit.

A Broader Festive Destination

The combination of track access, entertainment and hospitality extends Silverstone’s use of its motorsport infrastructure as an experience-led venue outside the core racing calendar. Overnight stays are also being promoted at Escapade Silverstone Hotel & Restaurant.

Christmas at Silverstone is scheduled to run from Friday 11 December to Thursday 31 December 2026. Organisers say the event will not operate on Christmas Day.

Tickets are now available through Silverstone’s Christmas event website.
