The Indian Brewery Company is set to bring its distinctive brand of craft beer and Indian fusion cuisine to Birmingham Airport in early 2026. Partnering with travel hospitality operator TRGC, the expansion marks the brewery’s first foray into an airport setting and its third overall location.

Scheduled to open in February 2026, the new venue will be located within the airport’s International Pier, adjacent to the departure lounge. The outlet will serve as a showcase for The Indian Brewery’s signature craft beers, including the “Juicy Mango Pale Ale” and “Pekok Lager”, both available on tap. These will be complemented by the brand’s popular Indian pizzas and breakfast naan sandwiches-dishes that have earned a loyal following at its existing Taproom site.

In addition to these staples, the Birmingham Airport location will introduce new items tailored for travellers, including a butter paneer toastie and cheesy masala wedges. A variety of toasties and sides will expand the food offering, catering to passengers throughout the day.

The new restaurant will feature an expansive bar with a curated cocktail selection, maintaining the brand’s hallmark commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients and fusion cooking. The venue will blend The Indian Brewery’s modern visual identity with design elements suited to the airport environment, reflecting the brand’s evolution while meeting the unique demands of airport dining.

Jaspal Purewal, CEO of The Indian Brewery Company, commented: “We are super excited to be opening in Birmingham airport, creating more jobs and helping towards shining the light on Birmingham. As a local proud Brummie, I believe Indian Brewery BHX will be an amazing location, offering our locally brewed beers and incredible food to all passengers. At Indian Brewery BHX, not only can you enjoy great food and drink, but you will also be able to browse our exclusive range of merchandise, including beer packs and t-shirts for taking on your travels worldwide. Proudly Made in Birmingham.”

Jon Knight, CEO of TRGC, added: “TRGC is delighted to bring Indian Brewery to a new audience with the launch of its first airport location at Birmingham (BHX). This much-loved Birmingham brand continues to build real momentum, and we are proud to be part of that journey. Set within a bespoke space in the airport’s flight departure area, guests will be able to enjoy Indian Brewery’s delicious food menu and award-winning craft beers, paired with TRGC’s signature service, a combination we are confident will be a great success.”

From the airport’s perspective, the collaboration further enhances its dining portfolio. Richard Gill, Commercial Director of Birmingham Airport, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a great local operator, The Indian Brewery, in partnership with TRG, to open its third restaurant at Birmingham Airport this winter. As the undisputed home of the ‘curry capital’, our region is often celebrated for its culinary contributions and thriving vibrant food scene. With a tailored travel menu of award-winning craft beers and innovative Indian fusion menu, the arrival of The Indian Brewery taps into this growing local hospitality scene and further diversifies our dining options for passengers as we continue to experience record growth at the airport.”

Founded in 2014 by Jaspal Purewal, The Indian Brewery began as a microbrewery and has grown into a notable brand with locations that pair modern craft beers with Indian-inspired street food. The business also produces merchandise such as beer packs and branded t-shirts, which will be available at the airport venue.

TRGC, the specialist travel concessions division of The Restaurant Group, brings decades of hospitality experience and operates a diverse portfolio of food and beverage brands across the UK’s travel sector.
