Sloane Stanley has revealed that Italian street-food restaurant Dez Amore and specialty coffee brand Kiss The Hippo will soon be part of the culinary landscape on Fulham Road. Additionally, Kings342, a new venture by Street Food Markets Ltd, is set to open on King’s Road, further enriching the food and beverage options on the Estate.

Dez Amore is slated to open a 1,178 sq ft unit at 273 Fulham Road, adjacent to established retailers like Orée, M&S, and Ted’s Grooming Room. Co-founded by Simone Parentini and Leonardo Masi, Dez Amore is known for its fusion of traditional Italian dishes using ingredients sourced from small local producers in both Italy and England. The Fulham Road location will serve as Dez Amore’s flagship restaurant in London, offering both dine-in and takeaway options.

Leonardo Masi, Co-Founder at Dez Amore, shared his enthusiasm: “Chelsea is such an established area in London and we are so pleased to be launching our flagship restaurant in this sought-after location. Our concept has moved from strength to strength over the last few years, and we look forward to bringing our culinary culture and sentimental experience to the Fulham neighbourhood, with this site marking a key signing for our expansion plans in the capital.”

Kiss The Hippo will occupy a 600 sq ft café at 285 Fulham Road. The brand is committed to sustainability, offering ethically sourced, carbon-negative coffee along with a selection of pastries and focaccias. For home coffee enthusiasts, the brand also offers compostable pods, coffee bags, and equipment, as well as coffee workshops. The Chelsea location is set to open in November 2023, joining existing sites in Fitzrovia, Richmond, King’s Cross, and Shoreditch.

Maya Zara, Creative Director at Kiss The Hippo, stated: “Everything we do here revolves around care – from how we meticulously source and roast our beans, to the thoughtful design of our spaces. We’re beyond excited to bring Chelsea the most delicious and sustainable coffee, handcrafted with passion and precision.”

Kings342, a new concept by Street Food Markets Ltd, will also join the Sloane Stanley estate, occupying a 1,277 sq ft unit at 342 King’s Road. The venue aims to offer a unique dining experience, blending Filipino culinary traditions with modern flair. The menu will feature comfort food classics, handcrafted cocktails, and live entertainment.

Hannah Grievson, Property Director at Sloane Stanley, commented: “The Fulham Road is known for its authenticity and independent brands, making it the perfect addition to Dez Amore and Kiss The Hippo’s portfolio of sites around London. Diversifying and evolving our dining offer within the Estate has long been a priority for us, ensuring we provide a good balance of offer, and it’s exciting to also welcome Kings342 to the mix and deliver a Filipino twist. We’re looking forward to welcoming these three innovative and London-based concepts to the Estate later this year as we continue to champion the very best of independents.”

This announcement comes on the heels of the recent opening of Fabrique at Designers Guild’s flagship retail store at 267-277 King’s Road. Fabrique’s café space within Designers Guild offers the brand’s signature stone-oven baked artisanal sourdough, pastries, Swedish buns, and fresh coffee.

Representatives for the new ventures were Chiara Ciroldi for Dez Amore, Smith Price for Kiss the Hippo, and Kings342/Street Food Markets dealt directly. Miles Commercial and Savills represented the Sloane Stanley Estate.
