Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has announced the opening of competitive leisure concept Escape Live, with the brand making its North West debut in 8,800 sq ft space at Liverpool ONE.

Visitors to Escape Live will be able to choose from six escape rooms including the brand’s official Horrible Histories escape rooms and their official Peaky Blinders immersive experience, based on the popular BBC television series. The 60-minute escape rooms are targeted at groups, be they friends, family or work colleagues, so will appeal to Liverpool ONE’s broad cross section of visitors.  Players can also enjoy Escape Live’s virtual reality arena, a private room for bookings of up to 40 people, and a roof top terrace bar.

Escape Live adds to Liverpool ONE’s broad competitive socialising offer, with Junkyard Golf, Roxy Ball Room and On the Green providing a unique range of experiences.  The opening also marks the continued diversification of Liverpool ONE, with experiential concepts and renowned food and beverage operators sitting alongside leading retail brands. This positioning has ensured Liverpool ONE has continued to increase its visitor numbers and their dwell time.

Alison Clegg, Managing Director, Asset Management, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, commented: “We are delighted Escape Live has opened at Liverpool ONE.  The brand’s launch demonstrates the appeal of the destination to a wide range of operators.  Together with the strength of our retail and F&B line-up, competitive socialising adds to the unique offer and experience at Liverpool ONE.”

Jas Sodhi, Managing Director at Escape Live, added: “Escape Live’s opening in Liverpool marks an exciting new chapter for us.  Liverpool ONE has continued to deliver strong growth, due to its commitment to evolving the offer to add new things for visitors to experience and enjoy, such as Escape Live.  It also boasts an ideal, accessible inner-city location that is perfect for our brand.”

Escape Live follows a flurry of activity at Liverpool ONE in recent weeks, with Hamleys opening their new store and the launch of three independent brands: Irish athleisure specialist, Gym + Coffee; Liverpool-based Bean Coffee; and local jewellers, Say it with Diamonds.

Metis acted for Liverpool ONE in the deal, while Kelion Sworn represented Escape Live.
