Cove UK has announced a £6.2 million investment across its holiday park portfolio, with a new collection of themed family lodges opening at Drimsynie Estate in the Scottish Highlands.
Set near Lochgoilhead, the new lodges at Drimsynie are designed to combine elements of childhood adventure with modern, family-oriented comfort. The uniquely styled accommodations – Bairn’s Lodge, Magical Forest Lodge, The Secret Lair and Enchanted Forest Lodge – incorporate interactive features, themed décor and locations close to the forest and children’s play areas.

“This investment is all about reimagining what a family holiday can be,” said Rob Turner, Operations Director at Cove UK. “Drimsynie’s themed lodges go beyond traditional accommodation, they create worlds of wonder, sparking imagination and helping families build magical memories together.”
Each of the four lodges offers a distinct theme:
- Bairn’s Lodge introduces young children to gentle adventures, featuring a den-building kit, treasure hunt and soft, child-safe interiors.
- Magical Forest Lodge includes a woodland-inspired setting with fairy tale elements and mythical creatures.
- The Secret Lair is styled as a superhero’s hideaway, featuring high-tech design and comic-book motifs.
- Enchanted Forest Lodge, situated close to the forest, is built to encourage outdoor play and imaginative storytelling.
All lodges include three bedrooms (King, Twin, Bunk), two bathrooms (one with a family-sized bath), a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge-freezer and dishwasher, and private decking with a BBQ area.

The themed lodges form part of Cove UK’s broader investment, which also covers new units at Seal Bay and Hunters Quay, expansion of Forest Pod accommodation at Stratheck, and the addition of themed lodges at Cornwall’s Gwel An Mor resort. The programme also includes a full upgrade of all caravans across the group, aiming to keep every unit under five years old.
“This isn’t just an upgrade, it’s a complete reinvention of what families can expect from a UK staycation,” added Rob Turner. “Drimsynie’s themed lodges are just the beginning.”

With its mountain, loch and woodland setting, Drimsynie Estate offers families opportunities to explore, relax and connect with nature. The introduction of themed lodges adds a new dimension to the experience, turning family holidays into immersive storytelling adventures.
