The Dean, the Irish-founded independent lifestyle hotel brand known for its character-led approach to hospitality, has announced plans to open three new hotels in 2026. Expanding beyond its Irish roots, the brand will launch new locations in Berlin, Munich, and Miami, each reflecting its signature design ethos while embracing the spirit of its host city.

The first of the new openings, The Dean Berlin, is scheduled to launch in February 2026. Located in Charlottenburg, a district that blends historical charm with modern energy, the 81-room hotel is being designed by Rachael Gowdridge. Her vision brings together a rebellious yet refined aesthetic inspired by Berlin’s creative undercurrents. At the centre of the property will be Benedict, a bakery, restaurant and bar offering an international menu centred on breakfast and brunch classics. With service from morning through evening, the venue aims to become a lively social space for guests and Berlin residents alike. Room rates for The Dean Berlin will start from €135 per night.

Following closely, The Dean Munich is set to open in March 2026 in the city’s Westend neighbourhood. With 281 rooms, the Munich hotel represents the brand’s most ambitious opening to date. Interior designer Tatjana von Stein has created a scheme that fuses the area’s Art Nouveau heritage with design cues from 1980s Munich. Guests can expect a new concept Japanese restaurant, four individual bar spaces, and the hotel’s signature wellness and fitness brand POWER. Facilities will include an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and spa treatment areas. The hotel also promises a curated selection of local experiences tailored to visitors seeking deeper engagement with the city. Rates at The Dean Munich will start from €225 per night.

The final of the three new properties, The Dean Miami, is expected to open in December 2026. Located in South Beach, the 235-room hotel will mark The Dean’s first venture into the United States. Designed as a venue for connection and exploration, the Miami location will incorporate wellness spaces under the POWER brand, a large outdoor pool with adjacent bar, and flexible meeting areas aimed at fostering creativity. Food and drink will be a central part of the offering, with a signature restaurant, a welcoming lobby bar and a late-night speakeasy. An outdoor terrace with its own bar will also serve as a backdrop for events and celebrations under the Miami night sky.

The trio of new hotels continues The Dean’s strategy of creating destination properties in globally significant cultural cities. Each opening reflects a tailored approach, blending local influences with the brand’s commitment to considered design and experiential hospitality.
