Armenia is now more accessible for British travellers following the launch of Wizz Air’s new direct service between London and Yerevan.

The inaugural flight landed in Yerevan on 8 June 2026, marking a milestone in air connectivity between the United Kingdom and Armenia. The new route operates twice weekly, giving UK travellers direct access to an emerging destination known for heritage, landscapes and hospitality.

The Wizz Air service connects London Luton Airport with Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport, opening a new route for visitors interested in Armenia’s blend of ancient history, urban culture, dramatic scenery and food-led hospitality.

The launch of the direct Wizz Air route is expected to strengthen tourism, business and cultural ties between Armenia and the United Kingdom, while making the country more accessible for British travellers seeking destinations beyond Europe’s more established tourism routes.

“Direct flights from London make Armenia easier than ever to discover,” said Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. “Whether visitors are looking for culture, gastronomy, adventure, history, or simply a new destination to explore, Armenia offers an extraordinary experience that remains refreshingly authentic.”
