TRG Concessions, one of the UK’s leading travel hospitality operators, is pleased to launch Jones the Grocer, the acclaimed casual dining restaurant and gourmet grocer, at Heathrow.

After two years of careful design and planning, the partnership will introduce two concepts, Jones the Grocer and Jones the Grocer Express, to passengers in Terminal 2’s international departure lounge from June 12th. Spanning over 5,900 square feet with 222 covers, the Jones the Grocer site is the largest of its kind within an airport setting and marks the brand’s debut in the United Kingdom.

Jones the Grocer creates a unique all-day dining experience for passengers at Heathrow, presenting a range of modern, globally influenced dishes through its live grill, pizza and pasta section, and charcuterie, cheese & wine bar. Guests can savour gourmet dishes such as their pan-fried seabass, chilli yuzu ponzu soba noodles, the ultimate Mr. Jones burger, and best of British cheese board, served alongside quality wines and cocktails in a tranquil setting ahead of embarking on their journeys.

Located immediately in front of Jones the Grocer, Jones the Grocer Express is a ‘grab and go’ concept designed for the hurried traveller that provides an array of freshly made pastries, deli-style sandwiches, toasties, wraps, soups, and salads. Expert baristas will pour fantastic flat whites using Jones the Grocer’s Melbourne-style roast coffee beans, alongside smoothies, leaf teas, and a selection of hot and cold beverages.

The opening reaffirms TRG Concession’s continued focus on identifying innovative, emerging food concepts and bringing them to life for passengers. This is the first exclusive partnership opening in the UK and it is also a milestone for Jones the Grocer, cementing the company’s status as an internationally recognisable brand, now present in six countries worldwide, and providing franchise opportunities that will facilitate its expansion across the UK.

Jon Knight, CEO of TRG Concessions, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Jones the Grocer to Heathrow Terminal 2, offering passengers a unique and diverse dining experience in the world of artisan food. Jones the Grocer is a truly great brand that caters to all palates, making it the perfect addition to our portfolio. The belief in gourmet food for everyday living is evident across the whole restaurant, and we can’t wait to share this philosophy with our customers.”

Yunib Siddiqui, CEO of Jones the Grocer, said: “This successful collaboration with TRG Concessions is a significant milestone as we expand into the UK. Together with TRG, we are committed to redefining airport dining. This beautifully designed location and its exceptional dining experience is certain to set a new benchmark for travel retail anywhere.”

Steph Pears, Head of Category at Heathrow, said: “As the UK’s hub airport, Heathrow is delighted to be the home of the first Jones the Grocer location in the UK and share its artisanal offering with passengers from all over the world. Whether they have time to spare or need to grab something on-the-go, passengers travelling through Terminal 2 will have the opportunity to enjoy fresh, gourmet food before embarking on their journeys as part of a world-first airport dining experience.”
