Gordon Ramsay Plane Food Market, the newly introduced dining concept in Heathrow Terminal 5, continues the brand’s focus on premium food options for travellers. Based in London, Heathrow Airport is a major international travel hub, and at Terminal 5, Plane Food Market offers a market‑style experience that brings together multiple cuisines, flexible service options and a selection of drinks in a single destination.
Since opening in 2008, Plane Food has been part of efforts to expand the variety of food and beverage choices available to passengers. With the launch of this new format, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global brings together several of its restaurant concepts under one roof, offering dishes intended to appeal to a wide range of tastes in an airport environment.

The new layout is designed for a broad audience, including single travellers, business passengers and families. Whether guests want a quick meal, a relaxed sit‑down dinner or a drink before departure, Plane Food Market includes a bar serving cocktails, a grab‑and‑go counter and seating areas for different needs. The space aims to combine efficiency with a relaxed atmosphere ahead of travel.
Central to the concept is a selection of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands drawn from the international portfolio of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global. Among the offerings at the Lucky Cat counter are Asian inspired options such as Nigiri, Spicy Tuna Roll, Bonito Fried Duck Leg Bao and the signature GFC. For those seeking British flavours, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips serves cod and chips and a Shrimp Combo accompanied by sauces such as curry and mango or sriracha aioli. Street Burger highlights include the Classic Smash and Chilli Cheese Smash, while Street Pizza features choices such as Beef Short Rib Idiot Pizza and the Vegan ’Nduja. Hotter Than Hell Wings allows guests to select sauces ranging from Umami and Sweet Chilli Kimchi to a Street Hot Sauce.

Loyal customers of the Plane Food brand will find familiar items available throughout the day, such as Full English Breakfast, Butter Chicken Curry and the Idiot Sandwich. These items remain part of the all‑day offering alongside the QSR selections.
Chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay said: “Since 2008, Plane Food has been a key part of the Heathrow T5 story. Today we are building on that success, evolving the concept, and celebrating how far we’ve come. Plane Food Market delivers an enticing selection of food that’s truly delicious, making airport dining relaxed and sociable, a really enjoyable addition to your travels. Plane Food Market takes what people love about our restaurants from around the world, amazing food that is fresh and full of flavour, and delivers it to time‑poor passengers who don’t want to compromise on quality at the airport.”
Heathrow Retail Director Fraser Brown said: “The launch of Gordon Ramsay Plane Food Market represents a significant step in enhancing the airport dining experience at Heathrow. It is great to continue working with Gordon Ramsay, an iconic British chef and a respected brand within food, and to introduce this exciting new concept which is tailored to suit every passenger’s journey. We are delighted to see such a globally recognised brand expand its offering, building on the popularity and success it has enjoyed since first opening in Terminal 5 over 17 years ago.”

The relaunch reflects a broader theme of global connection within the Plane Food Market concept. Restaurant formats appearing in Terminal 5 operate in international locations including Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Dubai, South Korea, Washington DC, the Philippines, Reno, Orlando and Las Vegas, demonstrating the brand’s presence across multiple travel destinations.
Terminal 5 at Heathrow handles millions of passengers each year and is positioned as a key gateway for international travel. The terminal is accessible from central London via the Heathrow Express, with a journey time of approximately 15 minutes from Paddington Station. Recent passenger figures indicate sustained demand, with Heathrow reporting passenger volumes in 2024 above 83 million and forecasts suggesting further growth in 2025.
With its expanded culinary scope, renewed layout and continued emphasis on quality, Plane Food Market is positioned as a dining choice for travellers seeking flexible and varied food options when travelling through Heathrow Terminal 5.
