Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre is set to open in April 2026, becoming the largest property within the brand’s UK and European portfolio.

The 358-room hotel forms part of a wider development led by Dean Street Developments and represents a significant addition to Manchester’s expanding hospitality landscape.

Abi Hindle has been appointed General Manager and will oversee all operational aspects of the hotel, including team development, implementation of operational frameworks and the delivery of guest experience.

Hindle joins the project with prior experience across Hampton by Hilton properties, having held roles in both commercial and operational functions, including Director of Sales and General Manager positions.

Tom Ansbro has been named Group Commercial Director. His background includes senior commercial roles across Manchester’s hotel sector, including Director of Sales positions at Hilton Manchester Deansgate and The Lowry Hotel.

“We’re thrilled to be launching Europe’s largest Hampton by Hilton,” say Hindle and Ansbro. “This is a really exciting development in a prime location, and we can’t wait to introduce Hampton by Hilton to the city centre.”

A New Addition To The Skyline

The newbuild property will introduce 358 guestrooms designed with a focus on functionality and comfort, many offering views across the city.

Interior design references Manchester’s industrial character, incorporating subtle nods to the railway arches that the building integrates with. Architecturally, the scheme is intended to establish a visible presence on the skyline above Deansgate.

Its central location places the hotel within walking distance of Manchester Central Convention Centre, Deansgate Square, Spinningfields and Oxford Road, as well as key transport links and the city’s retail and leisure destinations.

Brand-Standard Amenities

The hotel will include a bar and all-day dining restaurant, alongside facilities aligned with the Hampton by Hilton brand standard. These include a complimentary hot breakfast offering, including the brand’s self-service waffle stations.

Additional amenities will include a 24-hour fitness centre and meeting and event space designed to accommodate a range of uses.

“Manchester is a city undergoing exceptional growth, and this opening represents a major milestone for both Dean Street Developments and the wider hospitality landscape. Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre brings a contemporary, intelligently designed product to the city centre, matching the scale and ambition of the city itself.”

Adi Hodzic, Managing Director, Dean Street Developments

“We’re proud to partner with Dean Street Developments on the opening of Europe’s largest Hampton by Hilton in Manchester, one of the UK’s most dynamic cities. This project underscores our ambition to expand our presence in high-growth areas across the UK, working with trusted partners to develop world-class hotels that offer travellers fantastic stays in great destinations.”

Nick Smart, Vice President, Development, UK, Ireland and Nordics, Hilton
