Hilton London Bankside, a design‑led hotel owned by Splendid Hospitality Group, has announced an expansion that adds 76 newly designed rooms and suites, bringing the hotel’s total room count to 368. The development introduces 12 new room categories, including upgraded suite experiences, with rooms available to book now for stays from 1 February 2026.

To realise the project’s creative vision, the hotel partnered with award‑winning interior design agency SpaceInvader. The new rooms draw inspiration from the character of the hotel’s Bankside location, combining rich colours, bold patterns, and detailed finishes that reflect the area’s cultural and theatrical environment. Custom designed elements such as sculptural headboards and full‑length mirrors are intended to echo the architectural diversity of the surrounding area.

Studio Graphite acted as Art Consultant for the project, with design choices intended to pay homage to the nearby Tate Modern and local graffiti culture. Artworks and tailored lighting are placed throughout to create a gallery‑like atmosphere in the rooms.

The newly constructed ninth floor offers views across Bankside and the London skyline through floor‑to‑ceiling windows. Two of the new suites on this level, the King One Bedroom City View Suite and the King One Bedroom Landmark View Suite, include kitchenettes, dining areas, walk‑in showers and additional features. The City View Suite also features a sensor‑lit walk‑in wardrobe, while the Landmark View Suite offers a private mini gym and wellness zone with personalised lighting, sound and scent programmes. An in‑room fitness menu allows guests to request additional exercise equipment.

To cater to wellness‑minded guests, the new Premium Peloton Room includes a dedicated fitness alcove with a personal Peloton Bike and natural lighting to support ongoing workout routines during stays.

Family travel remains a key focus for Hilton London Bankside. Features for younger guests include a sweet stand and cartoons in the lobby, a ‘fox cub trail’ throughout the hotel and interconnecting family rooms. The King Premier One Bedroom Suite is designed for families of four with a dining table, a spacious lounge with a sofa and contemporary artwork. The Two Queen Superior Room offers two queen‑sized beds for families or groups, while the Twin Premium and King Premium suites include a chaise that can convert into an additional bed for smaller families or groups of three.

The expansion aligns with Hilton’s Travel with Purpose strategy and continues the property’s sustainability commitments, recognised with the title of Best Luxury Sustainable Hotel in Northern Europe at the 2025 World Luxury Hotel Awards. New room features include Silestone tabletops made with a minimum of 20% recycled materials and manufactured using certified renewable energy and recycled water. Carpets are cradle‑to‑cradle bronze certified and mural wallpaper is produced from bio‑sourced materials.

Raoul De Souza, General Manager at Hilton London Bankside, said: “The extension marks a very exciting time for Hilton London Bankside and is a project we are delighted to see come to life.
