Pasta restaurant Noci has opened in Shoreditch, located in The Bower next to the Old Street roundabout. Noci centres around fresh, handmade pastas, Sicilian street-food inspired snacks, seasonal Italian small plates and cocktails, all served in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. The Shoreditch venue is the third site for Noci, with popular sites already open in Islington Green and Battersea Power Station.

In 2021, Noci hosted a successful pop up at Mortimer House before opening its first site in Islington Green. Having built a loyal following of locals and London foodies, the venue settled into its first neighbourhood, before opening a new site earlier this year in the iconic Battersea Power Station, joining some of London’s most exciting names in food and drink. The new Shoreditch venue is based in The Bower, a creative and tech community beside Old Street roundabout and boasts 100 covers inside and a further 30 on the outdoor terrace, perfect for enjoying the mild temperatures or the winter sun.

Noci Shoreditch, like its sister locations, serves a variety of small plates and pasta dishes taking inspiration from different, lesser-known regions of Italy, as well as more classic dishes. A number of the dishes change with the seasons, with a couple of Noci signatures staying put throughout the year. Signature dishes include the umami-rich Brown butter Cacio e Pepe (£10), a modern take on the Italian staple, as well as Veal and pork Genovese ragu, Monk’s Head cheese, paccheri (£14). For the Autumn 2023 season, dishes such as Brown shrimp & ricotta raviolo, spring onions, cayenne pepper & lemon butter sauce (£16.50) and Porcini & shimeji mushroom tagliatelle, baby balsamic onions & mascarpone (£12) have been added.

The Noci drinks list has been carefully curated to match the menu, with a selection of Italian wines from independent producers with an emphasis on low-intervention methods, and Noci’s signature spritz menu, including new favourite, the Yuzu & Rhubarb Spritz (£6) and the fruity Nectaretto Spritz (£7.50) all priced affordably. The compact dessert menu includes Coffee & tequila cheesecake, amaretti (£8) and Plant-based chocolate mousse, olive oil, Maldon sea salt toasted Marcona almond (£7.50)

Noci Shoreditch is conveniently located in the Bower Building, located beside Old Street roundabout, ideal whatever the occasion – from date nights to lunch with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed in the daytime, with the evening bringing a lively social setting to enjoy anything from an aperitivo to a pasta feast. The restaurant was recently mentioned within the Michelin Guide, with a nod to the affordability of the dishes and the delicious homemade food.
