Tewinbury Farm Hotel is expanding its leisure and hospitality offer with the launch of Farm Club, a new concept combining fitness, wellbeing, hospitality and flexible working within its 700-acre countryside estate.

Opening on 15 June, Farm Club forms part of Tewinbury Farm Hotel’s wider destination strategy and will include a functional fitness gym, outdoor training yard, reformer Pilates studio, sauna and ice therapy facilities.

Developed with specialist wellness operators, the concept is designed to support Tewinbury’s positioning as a hybrid lifestyle destination for leisure guests, local members, corporate wellness groups and retreat organisers.

Fitness And Wellness Partnerships

At the centre of the fitness offer is Farm Fitness, founded by Tom Kemp. The operator began on a working farm in Essex, with a focus on outdoor functional training. Its launch at Tewinbury will mark its second site and a move into a premium hospitality setting.

The 3,700 sq ft indoor and outdoor training space will combine strongman-style training, functional fitness and conditioning, with programming based around natural movement and accessible performance training.

Classes will include Farm Fit, focused on functional movement and metabolic conditioning; Yard Work, an outdoor full-body training class in a farmyard setting; Function, covering hybrid strength and physique development; and Engine, a short-form cardio class centred on aerobic performance.

The Farm Club offer will also include Studio 281, the reformer Pilates brand founded by Georgia Testa and her mother in 2017. The Hertfordshire studio will feature nine reformer beds and offer small-group classes focused on precision instruction, recovery and mobility.

The recovery offer will include four ice baths and a large wood-fired sauna, designed to support post-exercise recovery and wider wellbeing.

Membership And Hospitality Offer

Farm Club will also introduce the Farm Club Hub for regular visitors. Members will have access to The Stable, a dedicated members’ space, alongside a programme of experiences including art tours, wine tastings and seasonal festivals. Preferential bedroom rates will also be available.

“Farm Club represents a significant step forward in our long-term strategy to evolve Tewinbury into a year-round destination for hospitality, wellness and experiential leisure. This investment has enabled us to create new roles across fitness, hospitality and guest services, while also building long-term partnerships with leading operators in the wellness space.
“It strengthens our offer to both consumers and the trade, particularly in the growing corporate retreat and wellness tourism markets. We see Farm Club as a model for how rural hospitality destinations can diversify, generate employment, and build sustainable revenue through experience-led programming.”

Sam Williams, Managing Director, Tewinbury Farm Hotel

Membership options will be available by discipline or as combined packages, with prices starting from £90 per month. Hotel guests will receive complimentary access to the open gym, while classes and specialist sessions will be available on a pay-per-use basis.

Located in the Hertfordshire countryside, around 30 minutes from London, Tewinbury Farm Hotel operates as a luxury retreat on a working 700-acre farm. Accommodation includes restored 17th-century buildings, boutique rooms, luxury huts and lodges, while the estate also features four restaurants and bars with a farm-to-fork focus.
