This November, a new Georgian restaurant and natural wine bar will open on Heddon Street, Mayfair. DakaDaka is the first London venture from Berkeley Square Hospitality, a hospitality business co-founded by Giorgi Mindiashvili and Mitz Vora. The pair have previously contributed to restaurant and hotel projects across Georgia, the UK, and Europe.

DakaDaka will offer a menu based on Georgian culinary traditions, using open-fire grilling, native Georgian ingredients, and British seasonal produce. The drinks list will include a curated selection of 100 Georgian natural wines by Honey Spencer, in addition to Georgian beers and cocktails made with ChaCha, a traditional Georgian spirit.

The site, which seats 110, spans two floors with a bar, dining room, and space designated for private dining and regional wine tasting events. These sessions will include the use of traditional Georgian Qvevri amphora, clay vessels used in Georgian winemaking.

Prior to establishing their own venture, Mindiashvili and Vora worked together at Ennismore, where they were involved in the launch of venues such as Tandoor Chop House, Egg Break, Breddos Tacos Soho, and Seabird. Their latest project reflects a continuation of their collaborative work within the restaurant sector.

DakaDaka is a project we’ve been building toward for years. Georgian food is rich in history and soul, and we’ve long felt there was space in London to showcase it with care and precision,” said Giorgi Mindiashvili.

“There’s a beautiful depth to Georgian cooking—in the techniques, the ingredients, and the stories behind each dish. DakaDaka is a chance to bring something purposeful and soulful to London’s dining scene,” added Mitz Vora.

The restaurant interiors have been developed by designer Katya Samsonadze, who has worked on several hospitality projects for Georgia’s Adjara Group. Her design for DakaDaka integrates traditional Georgian materials and motifs with contemporary styling intended for a London setting.

Mindiashvili brings more than 20 years of experience in hospitality, having worked with international hotel brands and founded Communal Hospitality, a group operating several restaurants and boutique hotels in Georgia. His previous roles include senior positions at Starwood Hotels, InterContinental Hotels, and Ennismore.

Vora, with over 15 years of culinary experience, has worked in restaurants in Canada and London. He was part of the opening team at The Palomar and launched Foley’s, where he received a Michelin Bib Gourmand. At Ennismore, he worked on sustainable restaurant supply chains and concept development.

DakaDaka is located at 10 Heddon Street, London, W1B 4BX.
