Vietnamese Kitchen has announced the opening of Kêu’s fourth location in Borough this November 2024. Known for its authentic Saigon street food and its famous banh mi, the new Kêu Borough will introduce an expanded menu, featuring a wider variety of noodles and rice dishes. The new site will also extend its hours, catering to late-night diners.
Hieu Bui, the well-regarded restaurateur behind Vietnamese Kitchen, has been a prominent figure in bringing traditional Vietnamese cuisine to Londoners for over 20 years. With three successful restaurant brands — Kêu, Cây Tre, and Viet Grill — across six locations, Bui has developed a loyal following. The new Kêu location will be situated on Borough High Street, between London Bridge and Borough Market, placing it in one of London’s iconic food destinations.
Inspired by Vietnam’s late-night noodle bars, the new Borough location will feature Kêu’s signature lunch menu, with new evening and late-night dishes, including hand-pulled noodles from Saigon’s Chinatown. The menu also includes Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang, a noodle dish with roots in Cambodia, later perfected in Saigon, reflecting the rich cultural diversity of Vietnamese street food.
The new venue will have a fresh look, taking inspiration from ancient Saigon, with traditional colours and designs. The interior will feature classic noodle-house seating, with tables and stools creating a relaxed yet authentic atmosphere. Additional seating will be available downstairs, including a long table accommodating up to 12 diners for a more intimate dining experience. Outdoor seating will allow guests to enjoy their meals while soaking in the lively Borough Market surroundings.
“I am thrilled to bring the Kêu brand to Borough, an area that mirrors the vibrant atmosphere in Saigon,” said Hieu Bui, Founder of Kêu. “The expanded menu we have created will introduce more of Saigon’s street food favourites to the capital, in a destination that is at the heart of London’s food scene. We hope to continue to spread the love for Vietnamese cuisine and culture through Kêu’s newest opening, offering a new and exciting destination for food lovers in London.”
With its prime location and expanded offering, Kêu Borough is set to become a go-to spot for both locals and visitors looking to experience authentic Vietnamese street food in the heart of London.
