Wingstop UK has opened its first restaurant of 2025 in Swansea, marking another step in its national expansion. To celebrate the launch, the first 100 guests at the new location will receive free chicken wings.

New Wingstop UK Swansea site opens on Wind Street

Located on Wind Street, a key destination for dining and nightlife, the 2,762 sq. ft restaurant offers 115 covers and has created over 70 jobs in the local area. The venue features the brand’s signature bold wing flavours, a vibrant interior, curated playlists, and customised ordering options designed to enhance the dining experience.

Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UK, commented on the launch: “We’re starting the year as we mean to go on with a strong pipeline of new openings, the first of which in Swansea. We’re excited to bring our delicious wings and flavours to more people in South Wales, having proved popular in Cardiff. As we continue our rapid UK expansion journey, I want to say thank you to our loyal customers and the hard work of our teams. We look forward to bringing flavour to the city of Swansea.”

Wingstop UK continues expansion across South Wales

The Swansea opening follows the success of Wingstop UK’s Cardiff location, which launched in 2023. The brand has quickly become a favourite in South Wales, drawing in customers with its signature wing flavours and a strong cultural connection to music, fashion, and sports. The restaurant chain currently operates 57 sites across the UK, employing over 2,500 people.

Over 20 new locations planned for 2025

Wingstop UK’s growth is set to continue, with plans to open more than 20 new sites by the end of the year. The brand has built a loyal following through a combination of standout products and marketing strategies that resonate with a younger demographic. Authentic collaborations and partnerships have helped strengthen its reputation as more than just a restaurant, but a lifestyle brand.

With the Swansea launch marking the first of many openings in 2025, Wingstop UK remains focused on expanding its presence across the country while maintaining its signature flavours and brand experience.
