The Midland Hotel, one of Manchester’s most iconic establishments, has announced a partnership with premium Champagne brand Pommery. This collaboration will see the hotel’s renowned afternoon tea experience rebranded as The Tea Room by Pommery, officially launching on 1st August. The refreshed offering promises to deliver the finest afternoon tea experience in Manchester, within the city’s only dedicated afternoon tea room.

The new partnership introduces a carefully crafted menu, complemented by exclusive Champagne pairings. Guests can indulge in the Royal Afternoon Tea, which is served with a glass of either Louis Pommery England Rosé or Pommery Brut Royal NV. For those celebrating a special occasion, there’s an option to upgrade the Traditional Afternoon Tea (£35 per person) or Royal Afternoon Tea (£45 per person) with a bottle of Pommery for an additional £55.

The afternoon tea menu at The Tea Room by Pommery includes a selection of exquisite sandwiches, such as a maple & orange glazed ham with Dijon mustard on white bread, and a roasted chicken sandwich with wood-fired peppers and basil aioli, served on tomato bread. These savoury delights are followed by freshly baked plain scones accompanied by Devon clotted cream and Mrs Darlington’s jams, ensuring a truly traditional experience.

The relaunch of The Tea Room as The Tea Room by Pommery at The Midland Hotel represents a new chapter in the hotel’s rich history, combining tradition with luxury to create an unmatched afternoon tea experience in Manchester.
