Hermitage Bay, a secluded resort on the western coast of Antigua, will host a two-month culinary residency from 1 December 2025 to 31 January 2026 in collaboration with La Petite Maison, the acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant originating from Nice.

The partnership brings the Riviera institution to the Caribbean for the first time, marking Hermitage Bay’s most ambitious culinary venture to date. The pop-up will offer both resort guests and local visitors a refined dining experience that merges French-Mediterranean flavours with the island’s natural surroundings.

Following a multi-million-pound transformation and reopening in October 2024, Hermitage Bay has expanded its culinary programme under the ownership of Daniel Shamoon of Luxury Hotels Partners. The collaboration with La Petite Maison is positioned as a key milestone in the resort’s ongoing strategy to enhance its gastronomic credentials.

Located on 140 acres of tropical gardens and a protected natural bay, Hermitage Bay is known for its restored villa suites, wellness-oriented approach and strong sense of place shaped by the Ubuntu philosophy, meaning “I am because you are”. Enhancements include a redesigned all-day restaurant, a new Beach Club and the Tree Bar, built beneath the canopy of an ancient tree.

La Petite Maison, founded by Nicole Rubi and her daughter Anne-Laure, has earned recognition over three decades for its market-led cuisine, simplicity and warm ambience. The Antigua residency is part of a broader evolution for the brand, which will also open a new site at Puente Romano Marbella in spring 2026.

The partnership is further supported by DB Group, led by David Barokas, known for shaping high-profile venues such as La Guérite, Palm Beach, Medusa and Shellona. Together, the team will deliver La Petite Maison’s signature dishes — including escargots, truffle rigatoni and entrecôte grillée — within a beachfront setting custom-designed to capture the spirit of the Caribbean.

Lunch service will begin daily from 12:30 pm, enhanced by live performances from local musicians and a guest guitarist from Marbella, Spain. Guests staying on Hermitage Bay’s all-inclusive plan will enjoy a curated set menu featuring a selection of starters, mains and included beverages. Those on the B&B plan, along with non-resident visitors, may order à la carte.

The pop-up is available to the public by reservation only, with a launch celebration planned for local partners during the opening week in December.

The collaboration reflects Hermitage Bay’s aim to bring global culinary talent to Antigua while creating dining experiences that resonate with the resort’s emphasis on connection, comfort and natural beauty.
