W Algarve will host a five-day wellness retreat curated by Deepak Chopra from 23–27 October, offering guests the chance to participate in a guided programme of yoga, meditation and reflective sessions on Portugal’s southern coast.
Titled Timeless Wisdom for the Evolving Human, the retreat is designed to support mind-body awareness and explore human potential through a range of immersive sessions. Taking place at the five-star W Algarve, located on a clifftop overlooking the Atlantic, the event promises an atmosphere suited to introspection and personal development.

Priced at €5,700, the experience includes four nights of accommodation, daily breakfast and dinner, and access to curated sessions led by Chopra alongside guest facilitators. The itinerary incorporates morning and evening yoga with Sarah Finger, Chopra Yoga Director and co-author of Living in the Light, whose classes are structured to enhance awareness of physical, mental and emotional patterns.
Alongside yoga, guests will take part in guided discussions and group workshops led by Niki Smirni, founder of Travelgems and co-host of the retreat. These sessions will be held in the W Studio and aim to foster collective growth and deeper interpersonal connection.
Throughout the retreat, Chopra will share teachings on the connection between the human body and the universe, with a focus on cultivating a joyful, energetic body, a loving and compassionate heart, a reflective and alert mind, and what is described as the lightness of being. The programme intends to create space for deepened understanding of life’s broader potential through structured and informal learning.

Guests will also receive a certificate of attendance and take part in a professional photoshoot with Chopra during their stay. In their free time, participants can explore the wellness offerings of W Algarve or the surrounding region. Optional activities include local wine tasting, traditional cooking classes, and walking tours of Faro.
On-site leisure options include the AWAY Spa, designed for rest and rejuvenation, and the Wet Deck pool area. Culinary choices feature locally inspired dishes such as roasted cauliflower or seabass curry at Market Kitchen, as well as seafood pairings at Vino, served against the backdrop of panoramic Atlantic views.

Each aspect of the retreat, from the setting to the schedule, has been created to support mindfulness and overall wellbeing. For those seeking to combine luxury travel with guided self-inquiry, the event offers a structured opportunity to engage with Chopra’s longstanding teachings in a natural coastal setting.
