Lime Wood has completed a refurbishment of the Herb House gym, introducing a redesigned training space and a new generation of performance-led equipment for guests and members.

The update reflects Herb House’s approach to wellbeing, with a focus on long-term health, considered training and restorative surroundings.

The refurbishment repositions the gym from a traditional hotel fitness space into a more integrated, performance-led wellness environment. Building on the existing Technogym offer, forest views and calm atmosphere, the redesigned space introduces advanced training technology alongside a more structured and connected fitness system.

Overlooking the herb roof and forest beyond, the gym has been designed to support a more personalised approach to exercise. New Technogym additions integrate biomechanics, digital coaching and real-time performance feedback, creating a training experience intended to support performance, recovery and measurable outcomes.

“I don’t think of the gym as a collection of individual machines, but as a complete experience. Each element has been carefully considered to feel inspiring, effective and restorative, while still offering a genuine sense of calm. That balance is what makes the space so compelling.”

Among the new additions is the Biostrength Live Leg Press, a strength-training system that adapts load, tempo and range of motion in real time according to each user’s output. Designed to improve efficiency and technique, it enables targeted lower-body training with greater precision and reduced joint strain.

The Climb Live introduces a high-intensity, low-impact cardio option inspired by stair climbing, designed to build lower-body strength and endurance. Integrated coaching tools and progress tracking allow for a tailored workout experience suited to a range of fitness levels and goals.

Also joining the space is Technogym Ride, an indoor cycling system developed to replicate the dynamics of road cycling. Responsive gear changes, terrain simulation and integrated performance metrics are designed to support both recreational riders and dedicated cyclists.

The refurbishment marks the latest evolution of Lime Wood’s Herb House, where fitness sits alongside spa therapies, nature immersion and restorative treatments as part of a broader philosophy of balanced wellbeing.
