IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts has opened Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences, a collection of self-catered residences in the Andalusian countryside on Spain’s Costa del Sol that the group describes as its most high-end development to date. The resort opened in October.
There are 30 two- and three-bedroom residences, each set across two floors, with open-plan layouts, floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the surrounding landscape, high-spec kitchens, large terraces and private gardens. Most also have a private pool or hot tub, and daily housekeeping is included.

On site, an infinity pool has its own bar, and a gym and co-working space are due to open in 2027. Guests can also use the facilities at the neighbouring La Cala Resort, including its spa, gym and racket sports club, while sister IDILIQ resort Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol, a 20-minute drive away, offers local and international dining.

Golf is the main draw. Three courses at La Cala Golf are on the doorstep, along with a golf academy and driving range, and several more courses are within easy reach, from championship layouts to courses with views over the Mediterranean. Guests also have use of a complimentary golf concierge service.

The residences are aimed at friends and families travelling together, pairing space and privacy with hotel-style services. An on-site concierge team offers local knowledge and recommendations, and can arrange anything from restaurant reservations to water sports and excursions.

Wyndham Grand La Cala is a 30-minute drive from Malaga Airport, set in green countryside within easy reach of the coast. The seaside town of La Cala de Mijas, with its restaurants, bars and beaches, is nearby, Marbella’s Old Town and Puerto Banús are around 30 minutes away by car, and the landscapes around Ronda are within reach for longer trips.
The opening continues the growth of IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts, following the launch of sister resort Wyndham Mallorca Portocolom Resort in April 2026. Rates at Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences start from €2,499 (around £2,095) for seven nights.
