Black Sheep Coffee has signed a new development agreement that will deliver a minimum of 10 stores across Central London, covering the City of London, Tower Hamlets and Hackney.

The agreement forms part of wider plans to open 60 additional sites across London in the coming years, a move that would more than double the brand’s footprint in the capital. While the operator already maintains an established estate across the city, the latest deal extends its presence in districts characterised by high footfall, office density, student populations and international tourism.

Franchise-Led Growth In Central London

The Central London territory will be developed by new franchise partners joining the Black Sheep Coffee network for the first time, reflecting continued demand for the brand’s franchise model in mature urban markets. As part of the rollout, the operator is targeting 1,500–2,500 sq ft units in prominent, high-footfall locations, with an emphasis on visibility and signage.

The brand cites Central London’s dense commuter flows, major business districts, universities and year-round tourism as key drivers of sustained, all-day demand. The additional stores are intended to complement its existing sites, broadening accessibility across the capital.

Design Evolution And National Expansion

Openings are expected to focus on high streets, shopping centres and business hubs. The new stores will feature Black Sheep Coffee’s latest design evolution and expanded product range, centred on its 100% specialty-grade Robusta coffee.

Alongside its London expansion, the operator is progressing regional growth, with 2026 scheduled to see new openings in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Exeter, in addition to further locations nationwide.
