Craig David brought his signature garage sound to South London this month, performing an exclusive TS5 set at Johnnies Café in Camberwell as part of Just Eat’s latest campaign. The one-off event turned the long-standing family-run café into a temporary music venue, honouring the community figures behind local takeaways and neighbourhood shops.
The Camberwell café, which has served residents for nearly 50 years, was transformed into a lively garage party for 100 invited guests. Craig David delivered the first-ever live performance of his Just Eat anthem Every Neighbour Got Their Flava, a track that has already made waves online for its upbeat energy and community-focused message.

The event formed part of Just Eat’s wider initiative to spotlight what it describes as “local legends” – the everyday operators of cafés, corner shops and takeaways who are integral to the UK’s local communities. Guests at the party sampled Johnnies’ signature chilli fries and toasted the occasion with a Captain Morgan x Pepsi Max can, raising a tribute to the people keeping neighbourhoods going.
The ticketed event saw over 25,000 fans join the virtual queue, with spaces selling out in under a minute. For those lucky enough to attend, the night offered a mix of nostalgic garage beats and South London pride, wrapped around a campaign message celebrating the role of local food outlets across the country.

Craig David’s performance also marks his debut as the first UK face of Just Eat’s long-running Did Somebody Say campaign. He joins a line-up of international artists including Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera, each having put their own musical spin on the campaign’s theme.
The collaboration reflects Just Eat’s shift toward a more locally-rooted message, aligning its brand with the everyday heroes behind the UK’s food scene. With the blend of music, food and neighbourhood celebration, the event demonstrated the campaign’s aim to champion not just takeaway delivery, but the people behind it.
