LÈGACY Hanoi – A Fusion Original, a 218-room hotel and wellness property with views across the city and West Lake, has opened in the heart of the Vietnamese capital.

The hotel is the latest step in the expansion of Fusion Hotel Group and adds to the operator’s wellness-led hospitality portfolio in Vietnam.

Located in Hanoi’s historic Ngoc Ha ward, the hotel draws on the city’s heritage, with design references to the historic O Quan Chuong Gate, the Red River and the five-petal peach blossom. Its facilities include dining and bar concepts, spa treatments and wellness rituals.

Fusion marked the opening with a grand opening ceremony on 16 September, where Christopher Hur, the group’s Chief Executive, spoke about the project.

“Hanoi has an extraordinary sense of history, culture and identity. Our ambition with LÈGACY was to create a destination that feels truly connected to Hanoi — one that respects the character and heritage of the city while offering a fresh and contemporary hospitality experience,”

“This opening is also a testament to the vision, dedication and trust of our ownership partners. Bringing a hotel of this scale and ambition to life requires tremendous commitment and collaboration, and we are grateful for the confidence they have placed in Fusion. Today is not the end of a project. It is the beginning of a new chapter — for this hotel, for our partnership with the ownership team, and for Fusion here in Hanoi.”

Guests arrive beneath a large interpretation of the chim hac, or crane, suspended above the reception space, while abstract patterns and textures throughout the lobby make references to Vietnamese culture. A complimentary refreshments service in the main lobby, Sparkling Moments, is intended to encourage guests to socialise.

The hotel accommodation comprises 20 Original Rooms, 45 Deluxe Suites, five Premium Deluxe Suites and 15 Executive Suites. Each has a private balcony framed by floor-to-ceiling windows, a choice of twin or double beds and a vintage record player with a selection of vinyl classics. As every room and suite sits on a high floor, all have natural light and panoramic views.

YÊN Spa takes its name from the Vietnamese word for peace and combines cultural ritual with contemporary wellbeing. It will offer Vietnamese-based therapies, massage and beauty treatments, alongside an onsen with hot and cold pools, a sauna, a steam room and a relaxation lounge.

On the 24th floor, the all-day MỘC LOFT restaurant serves a menu that reinterprets the cuisine of Northern Vietnam through a modern fusion lens. The hotel’s rooftop bar, 24 Social and Terrace, is an open-air space for cocktails and music with views of the city skyline.

Newly appointed General Manager Ngo Anh Doan said the value of hospitality lies not only in comfort but in the emotional connections a place creates with its city and its people.

“Creativity doesn’t erase tradition. It breathes new life into it, making heritage resonate with today.”
