Grosvenor has recently announced a significant addition to Liverpool’s dining landscape with the launch of The Real Greek, an authentic Greek restaurant, at Liverpool ONE. This new establishment, occupying a 3,900 sq ft unit on Paradise Street, represents the eleventh food and beverage (F&B) and leisure operator to commit to the destination this year. This addition brings the total area of F&B and leisure space signed or opened at Liverpool ONE in 2023 to an impressive 156,000 sq ft.

In a move that underscores the growing appeal of Liverpool ONE, Turtle Bay, a popular Caribbean restaurant and bar, is expanding its presence by upsizing its existing unit on Hanover Street to a 3,700 sq ft flagship. Additionally, Loretta’s Parkside Tavern, an independent café cocktail bar, has recently opened in a 1,600 sq ft space on Chavasse Park.

The year has seen a diverse range of brands making their mark within Liverpool ONE. These include Gravity MAX, Flight Club, MOJO, Byron, Leveltap – Liverpool’s first dedicated esports venue, Joe & The Juice, Bean Coffee Roasters, and School Lane Hotel. The variety and caliber of these operators reflect Grosvenor’s commitment to bringing top-tier hospitality experiences to Liverpool ONE, both from global and local perspectives.

Rob Deacon, Asset Management Director at Grosvenor, expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition: “The Real Greek is an excellent addition to Liverpool ONE’s diverse selection of F&B operators, offering yet another unique option for our visitors. Along with the fantastic brands to have committed to the destination this year, including Gravity MAX and Flight Club, The Real Greek’s debut is further compelling evidence of the sustained demand for Liverpool ONE among leading operators.”

The Real Greek aims to provide an authentic Greek dining experience, featuring a menu that includes cold and hot meze, Souvlaki Wraps, Greek salads, and traditional Greek desserts like Baklava. The beverage selection will encompass Greek wines such as Moschofilero and Mavrodaphne, Mythos beer, and classic aperitifs including Tsipouro and Ouzo.

With a seating capacity of 162, including 38 outdoor covers, the restaurant will showcase The Real Greek’s signature contemporary style, adorned with white and blue accents, and decorated with Mediterranean-inspired art and photography.

Nabil Mankarious, Managing Director at The Real Greek, shared his excitement: “We have always been keen to expand to Liverpool, as it is renowned for its diverse and high-quality hospitality scene, so securing a home for our new restaurant right in the heart of Liverpool ONE is a hugely exciting announcement for us. We are thrilled to be making our debut in this vibrant city, and can’t wait to introduce our authentic Greek flavours to a brand-new audience.”

This development comes as Liverpool ONE experiences robust performance across its F&B and leisure brands, with significant increases in sales in September compared to the same month in 2022.

Metis and Stärka are acting as Liverpool ONE’s leisure leasing agents, while Hemyock Consultants represented The Real Greek in this venture.
