Costa Coffee has signed a lease for a new 4,096 sq ft outlet at The Liberty Romford, scheduled to open in early 2026. The store will include seating for approximately 90 customers and will be located in a key gateway unit within the shopping centre.

The announcement was made by Redical, the owner and operator of The Liberty Romford. The new outlet will join the centre’s existing food and beverage (F&B) line-up, expanding the overall offer available to visitors.

Daniel Tucker, Leasing Manager at The Liberty Romford, said: “We are always looking for ways to enhance our community offer at The Liberty Romford, whether it’s across retail, leisure, or F&B. We are proud of our ability to attract some of the UK’s leading brands to the centre, and the signing of such a large Costa Coffee outlet is testament to this.”

Simon Carr, Acquisition Manager at Costa Coffee, said: “At the very heart of Romford, The Liberty Romford’s diverse tenant mix resonates with the local community and pinpoints it as a prime location for us to serve our Nation’s Favourite coffee with heart. We look forward to opening shortly, and to delivering a space where people can meet, take time out and enjoy their coffee.”

The Liberty Romford has signed several new tenants in recent months, including Kids Play Village, a family-oriented play venue. Other recent additions include Gootopia, Pret a Manger, and Moana Poke Bowl.

Commercial agents involved in the transaction included Green & Partners and Cushman & Wakefield representing Redical, with RAB Retail acting on behalf of Costa Coffee.
