Sloane Stanley has today announced the signing of independent wine specialists 28º–50º to the King’s Road, further bolstering the property estate’s strong food and beverage portfolio.

Set to open once national lockdown restrictions lift, 28º–50º Chelsea will occupy the former Byron unit, an expansive and prominent 2,894 sq. ft corner space at 300 King’s Road, located near popular cocktail bar, Callooh Callay, and opposite the new Everyman Chelsea boutique cinema.

The 28º–50º concept takes the traditional wine bar experience to a whole new level, combining extensive wine choices with impeccable food.  The brand’s King’s Road restaurant will build on 28º–50º’s current European inspired menu and will be home for a new modern, premium concept to accommodate 80 covers.  As part of the relaxed yet elegant dining experience, in-house sommeliers will be on hand to advise on the ideal food and wine pairings. Indulging widely-held passion for high-end cuisine and wine, 28º–50º Chelsea will also host a number of year-round workshops, tastings and themed dinners.

Commenting on the news, Hannah Grievson, Property Director at Sloane Stanley said: “The signing of 28º–50º is a wonderful addition to the Estate, especially as it’s such a highly regarded food and beverage brand. Due to the pandemic, more than ever we are responding to, and investing in community interest, this signing fufills the desire for premium bar and restaurant fare. As part of our leasing strategy, which we have adapted to provide more fluidity and flexibility due to the pandemic, we are creating a strong and appealing mix of retail and dining brands across the King’s Road and Fulham Road, and we look forward to welcoming 28º–50º formally to the Estate once national restrictions lift.”

Richard Green, Founder and Owner of 28º–50º Wine Bar and Kitchen added: “We have been careful to select the very best locations for our restaurants, and this prime location on the King’s Road formed the perfect site within which to launch our latest 28º–50º space. Whether customers are dropping in for a drink, dining with loved ones, or joining us for an event, here at 28º–50º we are proud of our reputation for delivering exceptional wine, cuisine and service in a very relaxed atmosphere. We can’t wait to open our doors once national lockdown lifts, bringing everything 28º–50º is about to discerning Chelsea patrons and those from further afield.”

This news follows Sloane Stanley’s recent signing of food boutique Farm Fetch and opening of luxury chocolate brand Melt Chocolates to the King’s Road, further strengthening the estate’s culinary portfolio.
