An immersive exhibition dedicated to the RMS Titanic is set to open in London this summer. The Legend of TITANIC: The Immersive Exhibition will debut at Dock X, Canada Water, on 25 July 2025, offering a rare 120-minute multi-sensory journey into the history of one of the most iconic ships ever built.

After attracting significant attention in Madrid and Munich, the exhibition is now being brought to the UK by Madrid Artes Digitales in partnership with FKP Scorpio Entertainment. The team behind Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition promises a detailed and atmospheric portrayal of the Titanic’s story, incorporating interactive displays, lifelike reconstructions, and cutting-edge technology.

Visitors will begin their journey at Dockside Boarding, a recreation of Southampton Harbour using Augmented Reality. Each guest receives a boarding pass before being greeted virtually by Captain Smith in a multi-language introduction. The pier experience features ambient sounds such as steam engines and seagulls to create an authentic environment and initiate a digital retelling of key untold stories surrounding the Titanic’s voyage.

The exhibition leads attendees through various sections of the ship, including the third-class corridors and the elaborate first-class lounge. Information panels curated by historians provide social context from 1912, while a collection of original artefacts—ranging from china and silverware to personal effects and props from James Cameron’s Titanic film—are presented alongside replicas of period costumes.

One of the standout installations is the iceberg projection mapping room, which simulates the fatal collision through immersive visuals. Visitors then progress to the Virtual Reality room, Until the Orchestra Fell Silent!, where a musical tribute to the ship’s band is presented. The piece, composed by René Merkelbach, is inspired by Nearer, My God, to Thee, believed to have been the final song played on board.

A large immersive showroom follows, featuring 360-degree projections that guide attendees through the ship’s full timeline—from its Belfast construction to its sinking on 14–15 April 1912. Emotional narration and visual storytelling focus on the fictional Callaghan family, used to personalise the broader narrative.

Further historical details are shared through panels exploring myths, survivors, and victims. Educational resources for schools and teachers are available in downloadable PDF format. The experience extends with a Metaverse segment developed with VR Coaster. Here, visitors are invited to explore the Titanic’s current condition on the ocean floor before it transforms into a fully animated version of the ship, allowing complete access to its interiors and lifestyle simulations across all passenger classes.

Families are also catered for through a dedicated children’s zone. Young visitors can engage in creative activities such as drawing their own Titanic scenes and solving interactive quizzes. Artwork is projected onto a screen, becoming part of the exhibition. AI and facial recognition technology also allow guests to visualise themselves as 1912 passengers in period-accurate attire.

The tour concludes at the Café de Parisien, a venue inspired by the ship’s original dining space, serving tea and pastries in a relaxed setting.

Ticket sales open to the general public on 16 May 2025, with adult admission starting at £24 and children’s tickets from £16. Children under three years old may enter for free. A special ‘Heart of the Ocean’ package, including themed merchandise and ticket, is available from £54. Those wishing to gain early access can now join the Wait List online.
