atria Watford has welcomed a new addition to its entertainment lineup with the opening of Rock Up, an indoor climbing and zip wire attraction. Located in the centre’s atrium space, this is the first time an attraction of this kind has opened within a shopping centre, offering a unique experience for visitors.

The new Rock Up attraction includes a 2,000 sq ft extension, providing additional space for birthday parties and celebrations. The high ropes course, a highlight of the new offering, features a unique viewing point over the centre, allowing participants to enjoy previously unseen views of the shopping destination while reaching new heights.

Since its initial opening at atria Watford in 2018, Rock Up has been a popular destination for families. The new course joins the existing 27 fun climbing walls, which tower over eight metres and offer multiple routes to the peak. In addition to the climbing attractions, Rock Up also features two large soft play areas for children aged 0-2 and 3-7 years old, as well as a café serving fresh food and drinks.

Simon Plumb, Centre Director at atria Watford, also shared his enthusiasm: “Rock Up is a firm favourite for families, and we are delighted to see the new attraction open. A visit to atria is no longer simply about the shopping – it’s about the ‘day out’. We are looking forward to Rock Up adding to our already strong leisure offering and driving footfall for the remainder of summer and into peak season.”

atria Watford spans 1.4 million sq ft and is home to a diverse range of brands, from small independents to household names, including NEXT, Mango, Uniqlo, and Hollister.
