Quintain has recently inked deals with two additional food brands, enhancing the diverse retail, hospitality, and leisure offerings at Wembley Park, London’s burgeoning new neighbourhood. Tian Tian Market, a premium Asian grocery store, will occupy 4,268 sq ft, while fusion Japanese-Peruvian restaurant Nakanojo, a sister establishment to the Marylebone-based Nakanojo, will take up 5,897 sq ft.
These new partnerships signify a crucial phase in Quintain’s £5.1 million investment programme aimed at supporting independent businesses over the past five years. This investment comprises both capital and rent-free periods, and as a result, Quintain has successfully attracted a wide array of small businesses and brands, enriching the local community.
The £5.1 million already invested represents a midpoint in Quintain’s ongoing commitment to enhancing Wembley Park’s retail landscape, appealing to local residents, workers, and visitors alike. This figure does not include Quintain’s separate investment in making London Designer Outlet a top-tier retail destination.
Matt Slade, Retail Director at Quintain, commented: “These new deals are testament to the continued appeal of Wembley Park, and to the collaborative approach we have adopted with our retail and leisure partners. The cookie cutter placemaking strategies of the past are no longer fit for purpose. Today’s disruptive, independent businesses and the entrepreneurs behind them add a genuine sense of place, character and appeal to burgeoning retail destinations.
“The investment we have made into local, independent businesses through both capital investment and rent-free periods has been key to building a strong community at Wembley Park and establishing a new 15-minute neighbourhood for London.”
Emma Tai, Founder of Tian Tian Market, stated: “We deal in everything from the niche to the trending. From its diverse and hugely exciting retail and leisure community, it was clear to us that Quintain shares this ethos at Wembley Park.”
Wembley Park spans over 85 acres and includes 42 acres of public spaces and gardens. It features 500,000 sq ft of high-quality retail and leisure space. The development is easily accessible, being just minutes from central London and well-connected by three Tube lines, two train lines, and eight bus routes.Â
Tian Tian Market and Nakanojo will join existing brands like BOXPARK, Bread Ahead and Masalchi at Wembley Park, further solidifying the area’s status as a 15-minute neighbourhood, where residents have easy access to a wide range of amenities within a short walk from their homes.
