The Sloane Stanley Estate has announced that Neapolitan pizza brand Pizza Pilgrims will open its latest restaurant on the iconic King’s Road. The new 2,200-square-foot site, located at 219 King’s Road, is set to launch in mid-November and promises a Capri-inspired dining experience for Chelsea’s residents and visitors alike.

A Taste of Capri on King’s Road

The new Pizza Pilgrims location will offer a nostalgic trip to 1950s Capri, with a design that evokes the spirit of Italy’s La Dolce Vita era. The restaurant will provide up to 80 covers, both inside and outside, with an intimate basement dining room that can transform into a ‘Cinema Paradiso’. This feature is intended to create an immersive and experiential dining option for the Chelsea community, with the restaurant adding a unique touch to the already vibrant food scene on King’s Road.

Co-Founder of Pizza Pilgrims, Thom Elliot, expressed excitement about the new opening, saying, “We are really excited to be opening on such an iconic street in London. We fell in love with the site when we first set eyes on it – and as always are excited to bring something a bit different to the Pizza Pilgrims experience with a unique, Capri-inspired design and fun cinema space downstairs.”

Sloane Stanley Estate’s Expanding Dining Scene

The addition of Pizza Pilgrims marks another milestone in Sloane Stanley Estate‘s ongoing development of King’s Road as a prime dining and retail destination. The new restaurant joins other independent eateries that have recently opened, including Alley Cats, Dez Amore, and Josephine, as well as the upcoming launch of Fantomas. This growing selection of restaurants highlights the estate’s commitment to creating a diverse and high-quality food offering for Chelsea and beyond.

Hannah Grievson, Property Director at Sloane Stanley, commented on the new opening: “219 King’s Road is one of our most prominent units on the Estate, and so needed an operator that would deliver a real ‘wow’ factor. Pizza Pilgrims are experts in creating spaces that deliver high-quality food and a vibrant atmosphere. We are excited to see its Capri vision come to life on the King’s Road.”

A Unique Dining Experience in the Heart of Chelsea

The Capri-inspired design of Pizza Pilgrims on King’s Road is set to deliver a fun, nostalgic atmosphere, blending high-quality Neapolitan pizza with a unique cinematic dining experience. The intimate basement dining room, which transforms into ‘Cinema Paradiso’, will offer an additional element of engagement for customers, enhancing the sense of community and providing an exciting alternative to traditional dining.

This new opening further cements King’s Road as a destination for food lovers, offering both locals and visitors a range of independent dining options in a location already known for its fashionable and historic appeal. The addition of Pizza Pilgrims complements the estate’s broader strategy of attracting dynamic and distinctive operators to its retail and dining mix.

Pizza Pilgrims Joins an Expanding Line-Up

As Pizza Pilgrims prepares to open its doors in mid-November, it will join a host of retailers and operators that have recently set up shop on King’s Road and Fulham Road. This includes the luxury health club Third Space, which has also signed for a new location in the area as part of its ongoing expansion across the capital.

Representatives Miles Commercial and Levy Real Estate facilitated the deal on behalf of the Sloane Stanley Estate, further solidifying the estate’s status as a key player in the Chelsea retail and dining scene.
