Native Places, a distinguished UK lifestyle aparthotel brand, is poised to open its newest property, Native King’s Wardrobe, St Paul’s, in January 2024. This launch marks a significant expansion of the brand’s portfolio, being the seventh property in the UK and the fourth in the capital city of London.

The site, steeped in history, was formerly known as the Royal Wardrobe in the 14th century and served as a storehouse for the King’s state and ceremonial robes, as well as those belonging to the Royal Family. The Native King’s Wardrobe, St Paul’s, is an emblem of history revived into a spacious and characterful property, infusing modern amenities into a historical setting.

Occupying a scenic spot, the aparthotel is nestled across seven Grade II listed townhouses in a private courtyard, just behind St Paul’s Cathedral. With a total of 92 apartments, the accommodation ranges from studios to three-bedroom apartments, each equipped with kitchens, living and dining areas, and workspaces. The apartments are adorned with Bramley toiletries, Hypnos beds, and tapestry prints from House of Hackney, offering guests a blend of luxury and comfort.

In homage to its rich past, each townhouse is named after pioneering British and international fashion designers who have shaped British attire and style since the 17th century. These include names like Anna Maria Garthwaite, an 18th-century English textile designer, and Rose Bertin, the famous dressmaker to Marie Antoinette, Queen of France.

Adding to the allure is COUNTER King’s Wardrobe, a vibrant neighbourhood space that transforms from a café in the daytime to a wine bar in the evening, marking Native Places’ debut in London in this format. COUNTER is already a feature in Native’s properties in Edinburgh and Manchester.

Partnering with local businesses and ‘neighbourhood heroes,’ Native King’s Wardrobe, St Paul’s, offers guests a genuinely authentic stay in the city. This initiative is in line with Native Places’ ethos of offering the freedom and authenticity of a local apartment with the comfort and premium service of a boutique hotel. Every property undergoes meticulous restoration and conscious refurbishment to respect its history and character.

Stays at Native King’s Wardrobe, St Paul’s, start from £250 per night, providing an unparalleled experience in one of London’s most historic locales.
