A growing interest by consumers in adopting healthier eating and lifestyle choices, has seen great opportunity for new owners of the Leon brand, EG Group to respond with a generous expansion plan.
rpa:group has previously worked alongside Leon to deliver new stores across the UK, The Republic of Ireland, Europe, and Scandinavia and is currently in the process of helping to deliver new Leon fit-outs on London’s Kings Road, Camden, Little Strand and Kent’s Bluewater Shopping Centre, with others in the pipeline.
The latest restaurants are an opportunity for a new concept to emerge, with a strong focus on the use of sustainable materials. These include bamboo flooring and the use of recycled plastic panels for wall cladding and counters, which are being updated in terms of design and with digital technology being more heavily implemented. Customers will still be able to order at the counter, but there will be numerous digital kiosks from which to order, as well as digital menus and collection screens.
What is still inherent across the new restaurants is the “DNA” of the brand. This is manifested in the classic brand imagery on the walls, such as the ‘LEON story’ and the ‘Hand holding the orange’. The orange is used on all of Leon’s signage and is a paramount icon as it represents food from nature and signifies the natural ingredients used.
rpa:group is providing a breadth of support to deliver these new restaurants, in the form of Design, Interior Architecture, Project and Cost Management services.
