The Sloane Stanley Estate has welcomed a distinguished addition to its culinary lineup with the opening of Josephine, a French bistro conceived by Michelin-starred Claude Bosi and Lucy Bosi. Situated at a prime location on Fulham Road, Josephine enriches the estate’s diverse food and beverage and retail offerings.
Spanning 2,633 sq ft, the restaurant embodies a contemporary yet classic French bistro atmosphere, drawing inspiration from the Bosi family’s heritage. The menu features timeless French classics such as French Onion Soup, Oeuf en gelée, Salade Lyonnaise, and Leek Vinaigrette, complemented by a selection of wines, including Josephine’s own label and a rotating monthly wine speciality.
Designed to recall the iconic Lyonnaise restaurants, Josephine’s 76-cover venue features a semi-private dining area for up to 20 guests and bar-top window seating for casual visits. The decor, with its antique mirrors, warm candelabra lighting, and intimate bistro tables, adds to the ambience of timeless elegance.
The opening of Josephine underscores the Sloane Stanley Estate’s attraction to leading restaurateurs and Chelsea’s allure as a hub for independent and debut culinary concepts.
Claude Bosi shared his enthusiasm for the project: “We’re incredibly excited to bring a little piece of Lyon to Chelsea with the opening of Josephine. This restaurant is a tribute to my grandmother and the Bouchons of Lyon, aiming to create a welcoming environment for both locals and visitors.”
