SLS Hotels & Residences has officially opened SLS Barcelona, a 471-room urban resort set along the waterfront at Port Fòrum. The new destination combines high-end hospitality with a playful, design-forward ethos. Guests arrive via a pink-neon runway leading into a world where culinary artistry, distinctive design, and curated experiences come together against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. With six restaurants and bars, three swimming pools, and expansive event spaces, the hotel offers a contemporary twist on the city break experience.

Rooms and suites, conceived by Rockwell Group and framed within architecture by b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos, each include a balcony or terrace. Interiors blend deep tones with golden accents, whimsical details, and luxe materials, including Venetian mirrors and Ortigia bath amenities. Room categories range from the Delight and Captivate options to more extravagant configurations, including the Captivate King Pool Access room with direct entry to the hotel’s main pool, and the Celestial Suite, which features a 97 sqm rooftop terrace with marina views. The suites cater to both long stays and weekend getaways.

Dining is central to the SLS experience, with six distinct venues. Lora, designed by AvroKO in collaboration with Studio Paskin, celebrates Mediterranean coastal cooking with wood oven and grill-fired dishes, served in a space inspired by vintage Beirut and Barcelona’s relaxed energy. L’Anxova Divina offers traditional tapas and pinchos on a seafront terrace, styled in tribute to Gaudí. Kyara, opening late May, introduces cocktails as perfumery-infused compositions in a post-modern setting, while Cosmico, set to launch in summer, promises rooftop revelry with floating sushi, panoramic views, and DJ-led Sunset Sessions. Deluxe blends day café and night lounge, and Coral serves exclusive cocktails to guests poolside.

The property also delivers on resort-style amenities with three pools, including a marina-facing infinity pool and two rooftop options. A partnership with Barcelona swimwear label Caro Luna will offer guests exclusive styles. Fitness-focused guests have access to a 24/7 gym and spin studio, hotel bikes, and bespoke sessions via wellness partner Edan Studios. A subterranean spa will debut later in 2025, extending the hotel’s lifestyle offering with a focus on immersive relaxation.

For events, the hotel features a 770 sqm Gala Ballroom with capacity for up to 600 guests, framed by red drapes and sky lanterns, and eight further event spaces including the Spotlight and Limelight rooms. Design elements include AI-enhanced artwork by Raman Djafari and opulent foyers suited for launches, galas, or private celebrations. The events floor is accessed via a private group entrance, ensuring discretion and ease.
Positioned next to Parc del Fòrum, home of the Primavera Sound festival, and offering marina access, SLS Barcelona places guests steps from the sea and minutes from the city.
