Slim Chickens has opened its latest UK restaurant at Merry Hill, one of the country’s leading super regional shopping centres. The Southern-inspired dining brand’s newest location spans 5,229 sq ft across two floors and is positioned near one of the centre’s food court entrances.

The restaurant features seating for 160 guests and includes Slim Chickens’ characteristic red and black interior design. The menu highlights a variety of Southern-flavoured options, including the brand’s latest addition, The Big Dill chicken sandwich. This Merry Hill launch is the first of three new Slim Chickens locations opening this month as part of the brand’s continued UK expansion.

Nick Round, Senior Asset Manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, on behalf of Merry Hill, said: “The opening of Slim Chickens’ underscores Merry Hill’s ongoing investment in its F&B options, complementing the vibrant line-up in the recently transformed leisure quarter. The popular operator adds further diversity to our roster of quick-service dining choices, meeting ever-growing consumer demand and solidifying the centre’s position as the West Midlands go-to for best-in-class F&B.”

Ben Blore, Head of Operations at Slim Chickens, added: “We’re incredibly excited to have opened at Merry Hill – it’s a buzzing location with a loyal shopper base and strong family footfall. We’re looking forward to bringing our famous Southern hospitality, cooked-to-order chicken, and feel-good food to the heart of the centre.”

The restaurant opening follows recent news of further retail expansion at Merry Hill, with Cotswold Outdoor, alongside sister brands Runners Need and Snow + Rock, set to open a new combined store at the destination.
