Santa Maria, one of London’s most celebrated pizzerias, is marking its 15th anniversary with the launch of a new location in Paddington on Monday, 24th February 2025. This will be the brand’s sixth site in the capital, continuing its growth while staying true to its roots in traditional Neapolitan pizza-making.

Founded by Angelo Ambrosio and Pasquale Chionchio, who first met in Naples in the 1990s, Santa Maria has been at the forefront of London’s pizza scene since opening its first restaurant in Ealing in 2010. The new Paddington site will bring the same high-quality ingredients, authentic techniques, and welcoming atmosphere that have made Santa Maria a favourite among pizza lovers.

A new home in Paddington

The latest Santa Maria pizzeria will be located within the historic Frontline Club, a renowned hub for journalists and global affairs, adding a unique cultural backdrop to the restaurant’s signature Neapolitan hospitality. This new space blends rich storytelling with Santa Maria’s dedication to traditional pizza-making, reinforcing its place as a key player in London’s dynamic food scene.

Santa Maria first made a name for itself with a 25-seat pizzeria in Ealing, which quickly gained recognition when Time Out named it London’s Best Pizza just two months after opening. Since then, it has expanded to Fulham, Fitzrovia, Islington, and most recently, Kew Gardens.

Continued expansion and dedication to quality

With two new openings in the past year, including Kew Gardens and now Paddington, Santa Maria continues to build on its reputation for delivering some of the finest Neapolitan pizzas in London. The new site is expected to attract both loyal followers and first-time visitors eager to experience the award-winning pizzas that have defined the brand for 15 years.

Santa Maria Paddington officially opens its doors on Monday, 24th February 2025, at 13 Norfolk Place, Paddington, W2 1QJ.
