Broadgate Quarter, the 456,000 sq ft office campus located at the junction of the City and Shoreditch, is set to become a new home to ROWBOTS, the unique rowing machine based complete fitness workout concept.
The new studio at Broadgate Quarter will be the second ROWBOTS site, following the launch of its debut centre in Fitzrovia, central London, which opened in 2019.
Operating from a ground floor unit on the corner of Appold and Worship Street, just a stone’s throw from both the bustling Bishopsgate and the dynamic Curtain Road, ROWBOTS is expected to open on 17th May, in accordance with Government social distancing guidelines.
The start-up specialist fitness concept was co-founded by Wales and Real Madrid footballer Gareth Bale alongside Chief Executive Sam Green and brand specialist, Greg Zimmerman. As the exclusive partner of British Rowing, ROWBOTS is capitalising on the surge in popularity of indoor rowing to create a total fitness workout experience which focuses on the rowing machine to provide a complete physical workout while building mental strength and resilience.
Owned by Blackstone, Broadgate Quarter is managed by Revantage Europe, a wholly owned real estate services platform established by Blackstone.
The arrival of ROWBOTS complements Broadgate Quarter’s existing offering of new and dynamic leisure concepts to one of the capital’s most rapidly emerging areas at the crossroads of London’s key cultural and business districts. ROWBOTS will join HiJingo, the revolutionary new bingo concept and Junkyard Golf, the home of crazy golf, who have opened new facilities at Broadgate Quarter as part of their ongoing UK-wide expansion.
Ed Hodgson, Managing Director, Revantage Europe, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome yet another innovative, exciting leisure offering to our increasingly diverse and vibrant business and leisure community at Broadgate Quarter. As we see the City opening up again through the Spring and Summer, I’m sure ROWBOTS will prove to be immensely popular with office workers and visitors alike.”
Sam Green, Chief Executive of ROWBOTS, said: “We’re extremely excited to bring the ROWBOTS brand to the City’s Broadgate Quarter. After several months of searching for the ideal site for our second studio, we felt Broadgate Quarter was the perfect fit being situated so close to London’s key cultural and dynamic business districts. I’m very much looking forward to opening the doors on 17 May and bringing the ROWBOTS workout and all-round experience to East London commuters and residents.”
