Queensgate Peterborough has welcomed the opening of ODEON Cinemas, marking the chain’s first site in Cambridgeshire. This new eight-screen cinema spans 27,500 sq ft on the third floor of Queensgate and serves as a key anchor for the centre’s £60m leisure extension.
Designed to provide an immersive experience, the ODEON Luxe Peterborough includes an IMAX screen, DOLBY-powered surround sound, and high-resolution screens to elevate the cinematic experience. The 600-seater venue offers a mix of seating options at varied price points, catering to a wide audience. Alongside the state-of-the-art technology, visitors can enjoy an enhanced food and beverage menu featuring cinema classics like popcorn and chocolate, as well as hot meals crafted for a movie-night experience.
The addition of ODEON complements Queensgate’s ongoing transformation into a mixed-use destination, blending retail with leisure and dining. The leisure extension, funded by the centre’s owner, Invesco, is also home to Putt and Play, an indoor mini-golf concept operated by Hollywood Bowl. The remaining space is being targeted at food and beverage operators, further enhancing the centre’s day-to-night appeal.

The opening of ODEON follows other recent developments at Queensgate. Luxury jeweller Beaverbrooks has relocated to a newly refurbished 4,324 sq ft store, investing £1.5 million into the space. The store now includes the region’s only TAG Heuer boutique, further solidifying Queensgate’s status as a retail and leisure hub.
