The Montcalm Collection has announced the landmark reopening of Montcalm Marble Arch, a five-star hotel that introduces the concept of ‘sensitive luxury’ to London’s hospitality scene. This new approach blends contemporary values with classic architecture, offering guests a sensory-rich experience alongside the hotel’s signature warm, welcoming service. The transformation speaks to the hotel’s conscious, cultured, and characterful ethos, making it a standout in London’s luxury market.

A Fresh Take on London Luxury

Set in a historic crescent at the top of Park Lane, steps away from Hyde Park and the West End, Montcalm Marble Arch has undergone a full restoration, offering 150 guest rooms and suites. The renovation includes a wellness space, public areas welcoming the local community, and a restaurant helmed by an internationally acclaimed chef. The hotel also features a 400 sqm Grand Ballroom, capable of hosting up to 320 guests, making it a top destination for events in the capital.

Samantha van Exter, representing the Montcalm Collection, shared: “Our iconic, historic address at Montcalm Marble Arch will be reborn, fusing classic Georgian architecture with an artful, modern spirit. We look forward to offering our guests the true Montcalm Experience.”

Sustainable Design and Sensitive Restoration

The respectful restoration of Montcalm Marble Arch was led by award-winning architects Holland Harvey and interior designers Studio Mica. The renovation preserved the historic Georgian façade while introducing contemporary touches, such as floor-to-ceiling glazing to maximise natural light in guest rooms. Sustainable materials like oak, marble, and brass have been incorporated, alongside handcrafted pieces from social impact businesses like Goldfinger and SEP Jordan, which further enhance the hotel’s commitment to responsible luxury.

Nadira Lalji, Director at Precis Advisory Limited, noted: “The thoughtful renovation showcases fresh imagination, bringing stories, characters, and history from the neighbourhood into every aspect of the hotel.”

Refined Guest Rooms and Dining

The Montcalm Experience extends across all 150 guest rooms, including three signature suites. The Botanical Suite, with its own private entrance on Berkeley Street, ensures both privacy and luxury. Personalised welcome amenities in the rooms draw inspiration from local cultural figures, while luxurious touches such as Frette bed linens and Penhaligon’s bathroom amenities elevate the stay.

Dining options at Montcalm Marble Arch are diverse, featuring a sophisticated restaurant and a destination bar inspired by London’s iconic Marble Arch landmark. Bespoke chandeliers, a hand-painted ceiling mural, and a nod to storytelling through food create a sensory-rich dining experience, from breakfast to evening cocktails.

Wellness, Events, and Sustainability

The hotel’s wellness offerings include a subterranean spa with a plunge pool, a fully equipped fitness suite, and four treatment rooms, two of which are designed for couples. Guests can also enjoy a curated programme of wellness events, with all-natural spa products used throughout the treatments.

Versatile event spaces, including the intimate Library and the expansive Grand Ballroom, provide ideal venues for both corporate events and private celebrations. Montcalm Marble Arch is also committed to sustainability, aiming to achieve Green Key Certification and eventually B Corp Certification, following in the footsteps of its sister property, Inhabit Hotels.
