Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the official opening of Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central, further extending its presence in Scandinavia. Located directly above Gothenburg’s Central Station, the 300-room hotel offers convenient access to both business and leisure destinations in the heart of the city.

Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central is positioned within walking distance of key attractions, including Liseberg Amusement Park, the Gothenburg Archipelago, and Ullevi Stadium. The hotel is also situated near the city’s network of canals, green parks, and a growing restaurant scene.

Michel Morauw, Managing Director for North EAME at Hyatt, commented: “As Gothenburg continues to emerge as a hub for both business and leisure travel, we are excited to add to this momentum by welcoming Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central to the city. With a prime location, modern designed spaces and thoughtfully sourced dining options, we look forward to introducing guests to all that the hotel has to offer.”

The hotel is operated by Gest Hotels, part of Flying Elephant. CEO Anders Moe added: “We are excited to introduce Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central to the city. Hyatt brings a world-class hotel experience and an extensive distribution network, and together we have developed a great new hotel and dining concept. We will now offer the best guest experiences from the city’s best location.”

Following a comprehensive refurbishment, the interiors have been designed to reflect Gothenburg’s natural surroundings, with a colour palette of greens and beiges complementing the Scandinavian style. The design is described as a “green oasis”, inspired by the city’s connection to nature and its archipelago.

The hotel offers 300 guestrooms, including five suites, as well as a fitness centre and meeting facilities. The event space spans 90 square metres and can accommodate up to 100 attendees, making it suitable for business events and gatherings.

Dining is centred around the Blanche Brasserie & Bar, a Mediterranean-inspired bistro that offers an all-day menu and curated beverage list in a relaxed setting.

The opening of Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central supports Hyatt’s broader strategy to grow its footprint in global markets and provide tailored experiences for business and leisure travellers alike.
