Victoria Square Woking Limited, a joint venture between Moyallen Group and Woking Borough Council, has announced three new independent dining concepts totalling 9,430 sq ft to be unveiled as part of the new landmark Hilton Woking.
The trio of world-class F&B concepts, Glow Lounge & Terrace, OXBO Kitchen and LOFT, will form part of the 189-room hotel offering for guests, and will also be open for the general public to enjoy.
Located on the seventh floor, Glow Lounge & Terrace will provide guests with a modern and luxurious barista lounge environment during the daytime, evolving into an ambient bar space in the evenings. The 3,710 sq ft venue will serve as an inviting ‘local spot’ for Woking’s visitors and residents alike, with a food and beverage menu comprising familiar wines and cocktails, premium coffee and tea, and a selection of light bites.
An all-day dining destination on the 21st floor, OXBO Kitchen will offer an inviting and relaxed atmosphere with a ‘bound by nature’ ethos. Inspired by agricultural heritage, the OXBO concept aims to bring people together to celebrate the union of delicious food and conversations. Visitors to the 2,780 sq ft venue will be made to feel at home from breakfast through to dinner, with carefully sourced produce and authentic flavours.
Offering views of Woking, as far afield as London, Wembley Arch and the South Downs, from 22 storeys high will be the 2,940 sq ft LOFT venue. The contemporary sky bar will be fitted out with steel and wood combined with tactile leather and fabric finishes, for an industrial chic character. Loft will serve a drinks-led menu with world-class mixology cocktails, show-stopping wines, and speciality spirits, as well as a premium afternoon tea experience. A first of its kind in Woking, LOFT will give visitors a first-class experience.
Hilton Woking will also house a 5,900 sq ft ballroom, the largest in Surrey, as well as an additional 7,600 sq ft of function areas and corporate meeting space.
All three F&B sites will launch in line with the official opening of Hilton Woking later this year, as part of the wider unveiling of Victoria Place, the £700m regeneration scheme in Woking town centre.
Nicolaas Houwert, General Manager of Hilton Woking, added: “Glow Lounge & Terrace, OXBO Kitchen and LOFT are dynamic and distinctive concepts which will not only draw in Hilton Woking guests, but also dining enthusiasts from the wider Woking area and beyond. We look forward to seeing the vision for each venue come to life later this year, adding another exciting dimension to this impressive flagship Hilton site.”
Councillor Ayesha Azad, Leader of Woking Borough Council, commented: “The calibre of these venues reflects the exceptional quality of Hilton Woking itself, which will form a key cornerstone of the Victoria Place development. The three world-class hospitality concepts will further bolster Woking as a dining destination and will complement the strong F&B offering which is being curated throughout the surrounding scheme.”
Victoria Place is anchored by 125,000 sq ft of retail space, and will also house a medical centre, two public plazas, and spacious new parking facilities for the community. It serves a catchment of 1.1m people with an available spend of £2.6bn. 41% of Woking’s catchment are from CACI’s ‘Affluent Achievers’ Acorn profile, compared to 31% for the South East. Upon completion of the new development, Woking’s market potential will increase by 11% to £226m.
