Shaftesbury Capital has announced the official opening of Goldies, a new wood-fired grill bistro located within Soho’s Kingly Court. Created by the team behind the popular local bistro Blanchette, this 1,100 sq ft restaurant on the ground floor represents the debut location for the new hospitality concept. Positioned in a prime spot, Goldies caters to both shoppers from Carnaby Street and those making a dedicated visit to Kingly Court for its high-quality food and drink offerings.

The menu at Goldies centres around the use of a wood-fired grill, offering a selection of small and large plates infused with rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms paired with Baby Leek and a confit egg yolk. The restaurant also pays homage to the founders’ French roots with variations of the iconic Frites, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked in either beef dripping or vegetable oil, making them a signature feature of the dining experience.

The restaurant’s design reflects its focus on wood-fired cooking, featuring kitchen counter seating that creates a dramatic and engaging dining atmosphere. With a total of 44 covers inside and 25 outside, Goldies combines classic bistro style with contemporary elements, mirroring the menu’s blend of tradition and innovation.

Maxime and Yannis Alary, Co-Founders of Goldies, expressed their excitement about the launch: “After spending a decade in the West End, it’s a special moment for us to open our new concept, Goldies. This key anchor unit on Kingly Court’s ground floor means we will benefit from the dedicated visitors to the foodie heart of Soho, as well as shoppers on Carnaby Street seeking high quality dining as part of their experience. We have carefully curated every detail of the Goldies experience, from the food to the ambiance, and we cannot wait to share it with the visitors who make this area so vibrant. We hope to make Goldies a must-visit destination, like so many of our neighbours who call Kingly Court home.”

Goldies joins a rich array of high-quality eateries within Kingly Court, a three-storey al fresco destination that serves the world-renowned Carnaby Street and the broader Soho area. The vibrant mix of tenants, many of which cannot be found anywhere else, now includes 10 independent concepts. Among them are Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, modern Filipino restaurant Donia, Peruvian hub Señor Ceviche, and late-night cocktail venues Cahoots and Disrepute. This diverse selection ensures that Kingly Court offers a unique, all-day visitor experience, providing exciting reasons to return time and again.
