Everyman has unveiled its latest cinema at the Turing Building in Stratford Cross, offering a premium leisure experience in the heart of East London. This launch is further enhanced by two new dining venues: Templar, a modern European restaurant, and Hera, a Greek-inspired eatery.

The new 10,900 sq ft Everyman Stratford International provides 253 velvet sofas and armchairs across three screens, creating a luxurious environment for films, theatre screenings, and private events. The cinema also features an outdoor terrace, a lounge with its signature menu, and a fully stocked cocktail bar. This opening coincides with the completion of the Turing Building, a 350,000 sq ft Grade A office space designed to promote modern working practices and collaboration.

Dining Options at Stratford Cross

Templar, located near the East Bank Cultural Quarter and London Stadium, offers a 1,225 sq ft restaurant and wine bar with a focus on small and sharing plates made from seasonal ingredients. As a sister venue to Darkhorse in East Village, Templar reflects Stratford Cross’s dedication to supporting independent and local businesses. Guests can also enjoy a curated selection of low-intervention wines at this intimate space.

Not far away on Arber Way, Hera introduces a 3,900 sq ft venue showcasing Greek culinary traditions blended with contemporary techniques. With a heated outdoor terrace and a spacious bar area, Hera caters to those seeking a relaxed dining experience.

Cultural and Community Hub

These openings are part of a broader effort to establish Stratford Cross as a cultural and creative hub, combining leisure, dining, and office spaces. The integration of Everyman’s premium cinema brand with distinctive local dining options enhances the area’s appeal to residents, professionals, and visitors alike.

Guy Thomas, Head of Leasing, commented:
“The opening of Everyman, along with the recent additions of Templar and Hera, comes at an exciting time for Stratford Cross as the much-anticipated Turing Building is now complete. These new openings bring a fresh energy to the area, blending a well-known name with unique local dining spots. We’re pleased to offer something for everyone in our growing community and to create spaces where residents, workers, and visitors can come together and enjoy a variety of experiences.”

An Everyman spokesperson added:
“The Turing Building is the perfect setting for our newest cinema, Everyman Stratford International, bringing our elevated cinematic experience to a vibrant and creative East London community. Ideally located in this landmark destination, the cinema will cater to a diverse audience—from professionals and local residents to visitors. We’re excited to welcome everyone to our 47th UK location and look forward to becoming part of this dynamic neighbourhood.”

Leasing and Development

Leasing arrangements were managed by Savills, CF Commercial, and Shelley Sandzer on behalf of the development team. Everyman negotiated its lease directly.

The combination of leisure and dining offerings marks an important milestone for Stratford Cross, solidifying its position as a vibrant destination in East London.
