The apartment-hotel brand A by Adina has expanded its footprint beyond Australia with the introduction of its latest property, A by Adina Vienna Danube. Located within the 180-metre-high Danubeflats in Vienna, the launch marks the brand’s first foray into the European market.

Situated on the banks of the Danube River, this new development offers views across the Austrian capital from a private rooftop infinity pool. With 120 premium studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, the hotel merges high-end hotel service with the flexibility and space of apartment living. Each unit includes a full kitchen, spacious living areas, and designated workspaces, making the property suitable for both short visits and extended stays.

Asli Kutlucan, Chief Executive Officer Europe, TFE Hotels stated that:

“We’re beyond excited to introduce A by Adina to Europe with this exceptional property in a truly prime location. A by Adina redefines experience – delivering something distinctive, stylish, and unforgettable. Designed for confident travellers who appreciate bold design, top-tier quality, and effortless hospitality. From the moment guests arrive, they’ll step into a seamless blend of luxury hotel service and the privacy of a bespoke apartment – an experience unlike any other”.

A by Adina Vienna Danube reflects the brand’s philosophy of providing ‘a little luxe, a little laid back’. Guests have access to a range of wellness and recreational facilities including an infinity pool, sauna, and a state-of-the-art gym. On-site dining is provided by Lottie’s, a small plates restaurant and bar that draws on both European and Australian culinary traditions.

Led by chef Theodoros Avgenikou, Lottie’s features a curated menu designed to complement its drinks-focused experience. Signature cocktails include a smoked eucalyptus-infused Old Fashioned and a lychee-accented sparkling spritz, while food offerings centre on shareable dishes such as artisan cheeses, seafood, and refined bar bites. The venue blends modern dining with a relaxed atmosphere, echoing the hotel’s overarching concept.

The design of the Vienna Danube property results from a collaboration with BWM Designers & Architects, and is characterised by its blend of Australian informality with European architectural detail. Interiors are inspired by natural landscapes, using earthy tones, organic textures, and light-filled layouts to evoke a sense of ease and elegance. The result is an aesthetic that aims to harmonise with the local environment while introducing a distinctly Antipodean perspective.

As the tallest residential tower in Austria, Danubeflats was selected for its strategic location. The area offers convenient access to central Vienna via the underground and is within reach of the city’s largest shopping centre and recreational parks. The setting aligns with the brand’s strategy to position itself in destinations that offer both convenience and visual appeal.

Previously established in Sydney and Canberra, A by Adina now enters the European hospitality landscape with this Vienna development. The property reflects TFE Hotels’ approach to premium accommodation, with plans for continued international expansion likely to follow.
